Carbs or carbohydrates are an integral part of our daily nutrition, constituting a major part of our diet, they are essential in the effective operation of our body. It is these carbohydrates that we burn down to produce energy and thus help us effectively function. The carbohydrates are basically sugars that can be brought down to the digestible form and digested within our body since the name itself suggests the digestion of carbohydrates releases carbon di oxide, hydrates (water) and some amount of energy. The same energy is used up by our body in our day to day functioning. Carbs are present in all of our food, be it from pastries, meat, vegetables etc. They have presence in all the food. Good to the body if consumed in moderation. Consumption of excess carbohydrates results in excess amount of sugars in the body.
